Vivien & Raymond { River Course Wedding }

Shannon ventured to Kiawah Island to capture a stylish River Course wedding and we’re excited to share some highlights from that wonderful day with you! Kiawah Island is located an hour southwest of Charleston and features world-class golfing and beautiful resorts boasting plentiful seaside vistas. Shannon caught up with Vivien at the River Course’s clubhouse as the bride-to-be was putting the finishing touches on her bridal ensemble. Her beautiful dress was complimented beautifully by strapped Stuart Weitzman heels and a lush pink and white bouquet. Raymond’s boutonniere matched Vivien’s bouquet and complimented his stylish black tux perfectly.

The couple shared a beautiful first look on the lawn of the clubhouse. The sprawling tree in the background provided a unique, natural element and complimented the portraits. The ceremony took place outdoors near one of Kiawah’s many links with the water in the distance. We love the aisle of white rose petals as it compliments the rows of chairs and the abundant natural beauty of the resort. Following the ceremony, Shannon was able to capture some gorgeous newlywed photos with the sun setting over the river before the couple headed inside for their reception.

The River Course Clubhouse’s ballroom has wood floors, soft cream walls and warm lighting creates a gorgeous atmosphere perfect for elegant receptions. The tables featured beautiful white tablecloths and floral centerpieces that matched the bridal bouquet. The tealight candles offered an intimate feel for each table and added to the subtle ambiance. We always love to see grooms cakes and Raymond’s Vanderbilt-themed one matched the décor perfectly. After a delicious dinner and delectable cake, the couple headed to the dance floor and we love their smiles as they shared their first dance. Given the holiday, many guests joined Vivien in donning masquerade masks as they hit the dance floor. The newlyweds were showered with confetti as they headed out into the evening, a fun end to a beautiful day.
