We are very excited to share this sweet engagement session with our readers today! Julie and Jamey are planning their wedding for October of 2014 and decided an engagement photo session would be the perfect way to capture this time of their lives together. Cana did a wonderful job incorporating the beauty of historic downtown Charleston throughout the session. We are looking forward to being a part of the big day this Fall!
On a Saturday in late February, Kristin and Peter wed at a beautiful intimate ceremony at McCrady’s Restaurant. They call Charleston their first home together after meeting at the College of Charleston’s Marine Biology Masters Program and falling in love. Coming from Rhode Island, Kristin and Peter were excited to share the Charleston experience with their friends and family and give them a peak into the city in which their romance began. The evening began with a small ceremony, followed by a reception with music by Charleston DJ Entertainment. The day was full of smiles and laughter in celebration of their love.
Thank you Jeanne for the beautiful images! Congratulations Kristin and Peter!

We are so excited to share this beautiful outdoor wedding held in Georgetown, South Carolina! Carson and Allston were such a loving and fun couple to work with and have a really sweet love story. Carson shared the following with us:
“Allston and I met the first time when we were 12. My sister and his cousin were best friends and Allston’s family was in town visiting so, we all went to dinner together. He was trying to impress me and I’m pretty sure I was ignoring him. His dad was in the Navy so he lived all over the world. When Allston’s dad retired, they moved back to their hometown of Georgetown, SC. Allston was 15 when he moved back to Georgetown and he joined the same small private school I went to. We became best friends and starting to date when we were 16 and have been together ever since! For our first “date” Allston took me fishing in a canoe – he even made sandwiches! Our hobbies vary…for the most part Allston is passionate about hunting and fishing and I am passionate about riding horses. We collect antiques. We bird watch. Basically, we are old souls. Allston makes rustic bowls, trays and candle holders out of fallen trees at his family’s plantation, Estherville.”
Cricket Newman flawlessly designed the entire wedding with a laid back yet romantic atmosphere. Guests enjoyed the ceremony on vintage church pews complete with hand-made blankets in case of a chill. The reception was held just steps away under a beautiful clear tent. The weather was gorgeous for a February evening and everyone was able to enjoy the fire pits and the local beers on tap before the sun went down. We hope you enjoy the photos and congratulations to the happy couple!

When A Lowcountry Wedding published their Top 20 list of best 2013 weddings, we could not have been more excited to see the #1 and #4 spots were weddings photographed by our studio! In fact, both of these gorgeous celebrations were photographed by the extremely talented Shannon Holton. Shannon had a phenomenal year and we could not be happier for her!
Congrats also to team members Jeanne Mitchum and Juliet Elizabeth, and former team member Jennings King for making the list! See all the results by clicking the image below.
We are excited to share Liz’s bridal session taken at Lowndes Grove Plantation. We absolutely love her Monique Lhullier long-sleeved lace gown with a delicate invisible neckline from Maddison Row. If you haven’t had a chance, head over to see the photos from Liz and Andrew’s wedding held at the Legare Waring House. Shannon did such a wonderful job capturing a beautiful collection of classic bridal portraits for Liz. Enjoy the photos!
