I’m excited to share this cute couples session shot downtown at White Point Garden! Shui and Leighton were married last year in a small ceremony in Atlanta but decided on having professional portraits taken in Charleston where Leighton now lives. These two were such a pleasure to photograph and work with. I just love how natural they were as a couple in front of the camera. Enjoy the photos!
When Michelle and Joe recited the phrase in their vows about staying together through the good times and the bad, there was a bit of a collective “amen” from the guests. These two waited over a decade to tie the knot; through the birth of their son Victor, moving to a new state, and multiple jobs, this couple has already proven they can honor those words. Because of this, their wedding was especially touching. Choosing to have a big wedding after so many years together is quite the romantic gesture. You could see the love between them and for their little family so clearly.
The reception was held at Magnolia Plantation’s Carriage House was full of charming DIY details including wishing stones in place of a guest book and hand-made wooden table numbers. We love all the succulents and also take a look at their awesome cake topper!
We wish the best for you Michelle and Joe (and Victor)!
We have a beautiful plantation wedding to share with you today! Katie & Gray were married on Harrietta Plantation in McClellanville, South Carolina. The couple hails from Kingstree, South Carolina, where they live on a farm with their dog, cat, and eight chickens! Katie & Gray love traveling the Southeastern states in search of adventure sports such as offshore fishing and big game hunting. It was only fitting that they be married in the heart of the South, at a private plantation opened exclusively for them and their guests. The couple exchanged vows under a beautiful old oak tree overlooking the property’s 1800s plantation house. While the two explored the grounds with their photographer, Sara, guests headed to the tented reception for cocktail hour. Katie chose cream and blush details for the reception site and the tent was flush with colorful foliage- including peonies, tiger lilies, roses, hydrangeas. The newlyweds and their guests spent the rest of their night dining on traditional Southern fare and dancing to the incredibly entertaining Still Cruzin’ band.
Congratulations Katie & Gray! Thanks for letting us capture your beautiful day.
Check out this beautiful autumn wedding from Cricket Newman Designs! Julie and James were married at Shandon Presbyterian Church in Columbia, South Carolina. We love the couple’s portraits outside of the church under the changing fall leaves. After the ceremony guests headed over to The Palmetto Club and danced the evening away to the sounds of Fantastic Voyage. The couple first became friends at The University of Georgia during their undergraduate studies. They chose to have cookies made of the state of Georgia and a peach to symbolize where they first met! We wish all the best to the happy couple and we hope you enjoy the beautiful photos!

Take a look at this love-filled seaside wedding at Wild Dunes. Melissa & Mark envisioned their wedding day to be a joyful celebration with their loved ones. You can tell from the intimate setting and abundance of sweet moments that it was just that. Melissa chose classic red roses to add a pop of color to the beautiful natural surroundings. My personal favorite shot of the day is them kissing behind a cardboard cutout of their golden retriever!! Guests enjoyed dinner and dancing poolside into the evening. Enjoy the photos and congratulations to the newlyweds!!
