Leigh & Matt { Downtown Charleston Wedding }

Haley recently headed Downtown for a beautiful, intimate Downtown Charleston wedding on the rooftop of the Vendue Inn. The Vendue Inn consists of two different buildings, 19 and 26 Vendue Range, and is centered on reflecting and celebrating art in all forms. No two rooms are alike and couples who choose the Inn or one of its restaurants for all or part of their day are encouraged to stay and experience everything the venue has to offer. The Rooftop bar is perfect for small gatherings such as receptions though it can be transformed to accommodate intimate wedding ceremonies. It’s for this reason that Leigh and Matt chose the Rooftop for their family-only nuptials with the Charleston skyline in the background.

Haley led the couple through Charleston’s streets and captured some beautiful moments. Leigh’s Southern-inspired bridal look is stunning. We love the strapless gown with flowing skirt completed by peek-toe heels and a beautiful feathery rose tied in her hair. The Palmetto Rose is featured prominently as Matt’s boutonniere and in Leigh’s bridal bouquet. Gorgeous peach-colored roses and delicate English daisies round out her bouquet and compliment the Palmetto roses beautifully. Matt is handsome in his suit, accented perfectly by a leather belt and shoes and completed with a stylish peach and blue tie that matches Leigh’s bouquet.

The alleys and pathways that framed the couple during their portraits all exuded the rich charm that Charleston’s become known for. We love how the natural beauty combines with the aged brick to create an idyllic atmosphere that deepen the southern feel already created by Leigh’s beautiful ensemble. The cute dip framed by some of Charleston’s iconic ironwork showed off the fun that Leigh and Matt were having. A quick dance in front of a gorgeous, rich wooden gate rounded out the beautiful pre-ceremony photos and the couple headed to the Rooftop to exchange vows. With the iconic Arthur Ravenel bridge in the background, Leigh and Matt shared a sweet kiss as a married couple, beginning the new chapter with lots of love.
