The Brooks { Kiawah Island Family }

Taking advantage of the resort atmosphere, private beaches and endless natural beauty, Kiawah Island family portraits are always an amazing time.  For the Brooks family, they wanted the beach atmosphere to surround their family of 5.  With small children and bustling lives, a vacation is a luxury and being able to get beautiful portraits is definitely a bonus.  Bridgit met them out on the island and immediately fell in love with the family’s energy.  They were simply a blast to be around!

The gentlemen were handsome in their button-ups and khakis of blues and green while the ladies rocked white and pink dresses.  For the comfortable summer atmosphere, they were dressed perfectly.  Bridgit was able to get portraits of the kids all together, a few of just the parents, and then a bunch of everyone playing on the island.  It’s always important to get a few posed portraits for the scrapbook, but the magic is in the candid shots where dad’s playing with the kids or a tickle fight among the entire family.  And then you get moments like the toddler escaping to a golf green and trying to remove the flag.  So adorable!

After a while trekking around the resort, everyone was itching to get down to the ocean waves.  On their way to the beach, a family of deer passed and everyone stopped just to take in the moment.  Once down on the sands, everyone cut loose.  There was no wrangling the youngest, he was going in the water one way or the other.  Everyone had a good laugh at his determination.  We love that dad dug out some shells to show the little ones and shared an educational moment.  As the time drew to a close, Bridgit hung back and just snapped a few portraits of everyone being themselves.  These were some of our favorite moments from the session.

Thank you for choosing us again to share in your vacation and we hope you all had a blast.  We look forward to seeing you again if you vacation in the Charleston area again!
