This shoot took place in Downtown Charleston at the Waterfront Park, Battery Park, and other classic downtown hot spots. These pictures show off Katie & Yashar’s fun and down-to-earth spirit, and we are excited that we were a part of their wedding! April and Ricky met at the University of South Carolina. “We met in Calculus class. Ricky asked me for paper and a pencil every class!” Now April (a recent graduate from MUSC Dental School) and Ricky (a personal banker) have just tied the knot! They said their vows in front of family and friends at St. Luke’s Chapel on May 5th, 2012. After Brian and Kessie shot April’s bridal portraits, we couldn’t wait to see her again in her gorgeous gown from the Gown Boutique of Charleston!
A reception at Harborside East in Mount Pleasant followed the ceremony. With stunning views of the Ravenel Bridge behind them, April and Ricky broke it down with the help of The Finesse Band! Saving the best for last, they made their grand getaway in a beautiful vintage Rolls Royce!

Congratulations to Jen & Rob! Shannon loved taking pictures of this couple last week in downtown Charleston, with a quick dash into Rue de Jean for some bar pictures. In their “Getting to Know You” Questionnaire, Jen’s story of how she met Rob, and the way she feels about him were straight from a romance novel. Their first date began with a snowstorm, a VERY rare occurrence in Charleston. She wrote, “There has always been something a bit magical about my relationship with Rob; it felt like finally meeting someone I should have known forever.” Together, these two make a very upbeat and fun couple!
Jen & Rob will be married at Lowndes Grove Plantation this September, and we can’t wait to capture more of their love and excitement on their wedding day!
