Aubree & Kris {Charleston SC Wedding}

On June 2nd, Caroline and Lucy had the pleasure of working with Aubree & Kris at St. James Episcopal Church on James Island. What a beautiful day it was! The shady oaks, bright sun, and old white buildings provided a happy and colorful environment for their wedding day. We LOVED working with this bridal party too; as you can see from the pictures, they were energetic and there to have fun. After a night of delicious food, hilarious toasts, and dance-offs, Aubree & Kris had a great sparkler exit with all their friends and family. We are so happy for y’all! Thanks for letting us be a part of this wonderful day.

[...] Ready for another round of beautiful bridal portraits? Caroline took Aubree to Boone Hall Plantation because of it’s classic Charleston look and oak trees lining the entrance. Please welcome Marylou to our team!

Last month, Juliet and I posted that we were looking for experienced wedding photographers to join our team at Riverland Studios. The responses we got made us realize how much God has blessed us. I have to say we feel truly humbled to have met so many wonderful people, all of which are incredibly talented.

As tough as it was to not recruit everyone, there were certain photographers whose images took our breath away. When you see a moment frozen in time that conveys a beautiful raw emotion, and is captured with a skill that seems almost effortless and natural, you pause and notice. For us it was that way when we saw Marylou’s images. And then in the brief time we’ve had to get to know her, we realize that she is a truly remarkable person – positive, happy, down-to-Earth, and genuinely kind in every way.

We are so excited to have the opportunity to work with her and call her our friend. Please help us welcome Marylou to the team!

Katie & Yashar {Isle of Palms Wedding}

What can we say about Katie and Yashar’s wedding other than we love it! The Indiana couple decided on an intimate, casual, but elegant beach venue on the Isle of Palms just north of Charleston, South Carolina. This private residence speaks for itself and Katie, as coordinator and planner, chose to have close friends and family celebrate the special occasion.

Brian and Kessie were there to capture the day. Cake artist, Molly from D’lish, provided the beautiful cake while Cafe Catering prepared dinner for Katie, Yashar, and their eleven guests. Katie told us early on, “I envision a long table with crystal, candles and white flowers to seat everyone!! I have decided to be my own wedding coordinator (fingers crossed!!)” There is no doubt she pulled it off and in such great style!

Congratulations Katie and Yashar and thank you for letting us share these moments of your special day.

Stephanie & Christopher {Charleston SC Wedding}

Congratulations to Stephanie & Christopher! Check out our latest photos from their wedding and reception at the Inn at Middleton Place. After meeting at work and being friends for a couple of years, Stephanie & Christopher decided to give dating a try, and were married on May 19th! Stephanie wanted a wedding that was traditional and a casual atmosphere for family and fun. She wanted to keep the scenery as natural as possible, so she decided to use palms, ferns, and Spanish moss as inspiration for her colors. Stephanie & Christopher, we hope you enjoy these pictures and we wish you all the best!

Laura & Michael {Charleston SC Engagement}

On a sunny Saturday in May, Shannon took Laura & Michael into downtown Charleston for a very bright and fun engagement shoot. Laura & Michael met their sophomore year at Elon University after being introduced by some of Michael’s friends, and they have been together ever since! Laura says that their favorite thing to do is travel, but they are perfectly happy staying home playing with their dog Fitz. The two will be married in September of this year on the beach at Kiawah Island. We can’t wait to share those photos with you later this fall!
