ABOUT THE VENUE

Wachesaw Plantation is home to one of South Carolina’s finest Country Clubs, holding beaches, greenery, golf, tennis, swimming and more.  Located approximately two hours up the coast from Charleston next to the Waccamaw National Wildlife Refuge, Wachesaw Plantation offers a true wedding getaway.  As with most private clubs, non-members are welcome to book the venue for their event, though Wachesaw includes temporary membership to guests who choose to stay in their Cottages.  Classic southern charm exudes through the Plantation, which offers their dining room and Kimbels restaurant for wedding rental.

While the Charleston area abounds with gorgeous plantations and classy clubs, Wachesaw offers both while bridging beach, river, and a veritable forest all in one place.  We love that Kimbels restaurant sits off the beaten path under mossy live oaks and that guests also have the option to lounge riverside instead (or enjoy both – it’s your wedding!). Of course we love the variety of outdoor portrait and ceremony locations that all scream romantic getaway.  At the same time, we don’t want to overlook the simple, stylish architecture of the club itself either, whose style lends itself to nearly any type of wedding.
