Tasha & Brad { Mills House Wedding }

A Mills House wedding is never anything short of spectacular.  The gorgeous building teems with history and offers many unique spaces perfect for all event themes and styles.  Noni had the privilege of photographing Tasha and Brad’s wedding at the Mills House recently, and we’d love to share some her experiences with you.  The duo wanted an intimate wedding with a little class and a lot of fun.  Tasha was so stunning in her long-sleeved, lace gown with a flower crown and a bright springtime bouquet.  Against a set of ornate stairs, she simply dazzled.  Noni selected one of the lounges in the lobby for the bridal portraits, and we love the antique chandelier with the rich purple adding a pop of color.  The pink exterior brought a soft hue to the portraits while perfectly complimenting the vibrant spring florals.  Tasha was simply lovely.

One of the Mills House’s most iconic features is the iron fountain from the mid-1800s that serves as the centerpiece to a private courtyard.  A few rows of white chairs were all that was needed to round out a beautiful courtyard ceremony.  After exchanging their vows and linking their lives through better or worse, the newlyweds immediately took to their family and friends for portraits.  Smiling faces were abundant throughout the courtyard and the beautiful arches in the background added a nice touch.  Noni stole the duo away for just a few moments to capture newlywed portraits. She included some of Charleston’s iconic ironwork, bringing some of the lowcountry into the photos.

Back at the house, hors d’oeurves were being enjoyed while everyone waited for Tasha and Brad’s arrival.  A beautiful banquet table was set with crystal vases filled with flowers bright floral accents.  After a scrumptious feast and decadent dessert, everyone took to the dance floor to get the party started.  The Barbadoes Room rocked long into the night before Tasha and Brad escaped to start new adventures together!
