Michelle & Richard { Magnolia Plantation Elopement }

Elopements are a great option for couples wanting an intimate ceremony by themselves.  Charleston is the perfect destination for any wedding, but a Magnolia Plantation elopement is always charming and beautiful.  The plantation’s manicured gardens and scenic waterfronts are ideal for a gorgeous ceremony and the hidden, rustic paths create simply stunning backgrounds for portraits.  Michelle and Richard wanted an elegant and sweet wedding, and the plantation created the perfect atmosphere for that.

The duo got ready at the Harbour View Inn in Downtown Charleston before trekking out into the city for some pre-ceremony portraits.  Michelle was radiant in her white dress with 3/4 flared sleeves, complimented beautifully by blue shoes and pearls.  Richard was quite handsome himself, rocking out the grey three piece with baby blue tie.  The dedication on the tie was such a beautiful touch!  Noni led them around the picturesque Waterfront Park area of the Holy City and snapped some lovely photos of the duo in front of the Harbor.  Some of the city’s more unique facades added a little Charleston charm to the portraits.

A fifteen minute drive out from the peninsula, Magnolia Plantation welcomed Michelle and Richard.  A beautiful ancient tree by the riverside awaited the couple.  With the spring blooms splashing color around the area, the ceremony was gorgeous and serene.  After exchanging their vows, the duo headed off with Noni to explore the grounds.  Live oaks sprawled over the quiet lawn, filtering sunlight and creating a patchwork of shadow below.  The day ended with the newlyweds walking away down a path toward their next adventure, hand-in-hand.
