Amber & Andrew { Wachesaw Plantation Wedding }

We’re ecstatic to share some of our favorite moments from a recent Wachesaw Plantation wedding with you today!  Amanda headed about an hour north of Charleston to Murrels Inlet for a lovely day filled with southern charm.  Wachesaw Plantation features sprawling live oaks hung with Spanish moss and a beautiful plantation house perfect for any event.  Amanda caught up with Amber as she and bridesmaids were finishing up her bridal ensemble – a gorgeous dress with lace bodice, chiffon skirt complimented by silver beading and navy blue Badgley Mischka shoes.  She was absolutely stunning walking down the aisle of Belin Methodist toward Andrew, looking very dashing in his black tux with white rose boutonniere.

Belin Methodist’s polished wood interior with white trim offered a warm and inviting atmosphere for the ceremony.  After exchanging their vows and lighting a unity candle, the duo shared a kiss and sealed the deal!  Amanda snagged the opportunity for a few waterside newlywed portraits before they boarded their vintage trolley and headed over to Wachesaw.  Once on the plantation, the wedding parties joined together for some fun by the water.  We absolutely cherish the sunset portraits the newlyweds shared however – the Spanish moss and live oaks filtered the sunlight reflecting off of the still creek.

Kimbels at the plantation served as a perfect spot for a romantic reception.  The cream walls and wide windows provided an inviting atmosphere and the abundant natural light glittered off of the silver centerpieces.  The dark wood of the chairs brought a natural element to the elegant affair.  The newlyweds danced heartily and celebrated with their family and friends in an amazing and fun reception, stopping long enough to just take in the quiet night at Wachesaw.  Under a shower of sparklers, they finally made their getaway looking for yet another adventure in the humid summer night.
