ABOUT THE CLUB

Nestled in the heart of downtown Charleston across from picturesque Waterfront Park is one of Charleston’s most exclusive and premier social clubs, the Harbour Club. The Club features several exciting options for the ideal reception, including the Prioleau Ballroom and the Rooftop Terrace. The cream and white color palette in the Ballroom is soft and beautiful and compliments most themes, especially those featuring natural reds and oranges as well as softer blues. A focus wall of exposed brick is a gorgeous backdrop for your guests sharing cocktails or enjoying a delicious meal catered by the Club itself. For a smaller, more intimate gathering with beautiful waterfront and skyline views, the Terrace is perfect. Having cocktails and hors d’oeurves with a soft sea breeze is a romantic way to end your wedding day and the staff at The Harbour Club await your call to plan your day.

WHY WE LOVE PHOTOGRAPHING AT THE CLUB

The Harbour Club’s many rooms create an almost endless array of reception possibilities and our photographers look forward to what our couples come up with. Having a venue close to the ocean is excellent for those couples who want the waterfront newlywed portraits or for those adventurous few who want something unique for their photos. We love the exposed brick in the Prioleau Ballroom, especially when the cake centerpiece is presented in front of it. Having the beautifully crafted cake flanked by rustic stonework creates a stunning photo, as does a couple sharing their first dance with the brick softly lit by candle light. We’re always interested to see how a couple or their planner creates the perfect reception in an outdoor venue like the Terrace. Likewise, other rooms such as the Library offer an intimate experience for a chosen few friends and family and catching laughter over dinner and drinks is always something we look forward to.
