Wedding Photography at the Kiawah Island River Course
ABOUT THE COURSE
An hour southwest of Charleston lies Kiawah Island, one of South Carolina’s premier vacation destinations. As golfing dominates Kiawah, the Kiawah Island Golf Club is always in-demand, especially for weddings. The River Course Clubhouse is especially magnificent with its breathtaking views and open, airy atmosphere. Water dominates the scenery, with the Kiawah River to the north and a private pond to the southeast. Ancient live oaks surround the building and create an ethereal, intimate atmosphere despite the liveliness of the island. The clubhouse itself is grand and elegant, with huge windows perfect for those spectacular waterfront views that add a natural beauty to any reception. The emerald fairways serve as an excellent backdrop for a gorgeous ceremony and is ideal for those couples in love with golf or simply the outdoors.
WHY WE LOVE PHOTOGRAPHING THE KIAWAH ISLAND RIVER COURSE
The River Course at Kiawah Island is an exceptional venue and our photographers are excited when asked to photograph there. The clubhouse is incredibly unique with varied architectural styles that contrast perfectly with the pristine environment. The wide windows are excellent for framing couples or brides with the greens stretching behind them or capturing guests laughing together with the Kiawah River flowing lazily in the distance. The true beauty of the River Course Clubhouse lies in the surrounding grounds. The waterfront is perfect not only for intimate ceremonies but also for the first portraits of the newlyweds walking hand in hand. The scattered live oaks can be climbed for unique, fun groomsmen pictures or used to frame the bridal party for some natural portraits before the ceremony. Our photographers await the opportunity to capture these moments for you during your special day.
