The Sullivans { Kiawah Island Portraits }

As one of the best cities in the world, Charleston attracts thousands of vacationing families from all walks of life.  A recent Kiawah Island portraits session brought a family together and featured one of the area’s iconic beaches.  The Sullivans wanted to commemorate their family’s get together on Kiawah and, with such a small group, we were able to focus on the individual relationships and really get to know the family.  The portraits Emily B. was able to capture are so amazing, and we’re happy to share them with you!

Emily met up with the Sullivans near The Sanctuary to take advantage of the manicured lawn and beautiful greenery.  We look forward to the wardrobes for family photos, and we definitely weren’t disappointed!  All the guys sported polos and khakis and varying shades of blue coupled with white while the ladies donned white and pink.  Everyone looked comfortable and had such a blast spending time with each other surrounded by the rich green of the island.

Often, the interactions between parents and their children or grandparents playing with their grandbabies make the best photos, but we absolutely adore the three brothers spending time together.  That’s especially true as they romped around the lawn leading out to the beach. They had such a blast!  Once out on the sands, everyone let loose in the waves and hammed it up every chance they got.  A few retreated to the drier sands to get some drawing in but the rest played in the surf and the sounds of their laughter filtered through the sea breeze up and down the beach.

Thank you so much for inviting us into your family for an afternoon.  We had so much fun getting to know everyone and we look forward to seeing you again your next trip down this way.
