Meghan & James { River House at Lowndes Grove Wedding }

A River House at Lowndes Grove wedding is a step back in time, featuring an idyllic oak-lined waterfront with lovely marsh views and a quiet yard with endless charm.  For a couple that desired an intimate, elegant affair, the River House was the perfect fit.  Meghan and James met through their gym and established a long friendship that evolved naturally.  Their personalities showed through in a day filled with tons of laughs and fun, a few tears, and romantic moments aplenty.  Cana met up with Meghan as she was getting ready.  Her textured strapless gown was stunning and complimented beautifully by a bouquet of blush pink and soft peach flowers and baby blue heels with silver accents.  Meanwhile, James waited patiently to see his beautiful bride in her dress.  His sand colored three piece suit was paired with a light peach tie and an heirloom pin.

She met him down by the waterfront with a soft sea breeze rustling her hair.  He was all smiles as he turned around and they shared an almost giddy embrace.  After a beautiful kiss, they headed down a nearby dock for portraits.  We adore these two, the love between them was palpable and James came out of his shell a bit which made the photos that much more fantastic.  Soon, it was time to head over for the ceremony!

Meghan and James chose to let the Ashley River and the sprawling pale yellow marsh be the background for their vows.  Lines of white chairs filled with guests rounded out the decor for the ceremony, a beautiful sight for a mid-spring morning.  The duo recited their vows and shared a kiss, this time as newlyweds!  They spent a bit of time by themselves for some newlywed portraits but they were eager to spend some time with their families so the portraits started featuring a few more people.  We love the smiles so much.

The patio and yard of the River House was the perfect size for an intimate gathering.  Palmetto rose party favors greeted the guests as they headed in, welcoming them to a beautiful party.  Bouquets of soft pinks and oranges sat atop white linens, surrounded by wood-grain and cream chairs, creating a southern chic atmosphere.  After the delicious dinner, everyone took to the dance floor and let loose a little.  James got into the action, having a blast with everyone else.  It was a wonderful sight and a perfect end to this lovely wedding.

Thank you both for inviting us along on your adventure.  We had so much fun getting to know you and your family and friends.  We wish you nothing but the best in the future – congratulations again!
