Lowndes Grove Plantation is located along the beautiful Ashley River in historic Downtown Charleston. It is a gorgeous National Historic Landmark that was restored in 2007 to serve as the perfect lowcountry event venue. It offers groves of gorgeous live oaks, beautiful water views and a meticulously restored plantation home where charm abounds. It without a doubt offers the quintessential southern charm that so many couples search for. The plantation is nestled in the neighborhood of Wagener Terrace which is just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the city that guests will enjoy a beautiful quiet sunset view over the Ashley River from the lawn while sipping their cocktails. A more intimate venue, The River House, is available to couples with fewer guests to accommodate.
