Lisa & Stephen { Sunrise Park Engagement }

The Charleston area has many hidden gems ideal for those perfect photos.  In a recent Sunrise Park engagement, Emily B. met up with Lisa and Stephen for some stunning portraits.  We’re excited to share our favorites with you today!  Sunrise Park, the nickname for the Melton Peter Demetre Park on James Island, provides gorgeous waterfront views and the deeply southern charm of the low country.  Our duo looked amazing together with the water stretching out behind them, with Lisa in a stunning white cotton dress and Stephen sporting a white button-up and khakis.

They began on an aged dock stretching out into the South Channel of Charleston Harbor.  Stephen wrapped Lisa in his arms as her dress billowed in the warm sea breeze.  We love that they gave us a kiss or two – spontaneous romance makes for amazing photos.  Despite the darkening clouds, they kept on and walked around the park, taking in its greenery and holding each other tight.  But the best was yet to come!

The small beach at the park is perfect for a quiet lunch, or to splash around a bit with your true love.  Despite being in pants, Stephen followed Lisa right into the water!  They had a blast walking up and down the sands with waves lapping at their feet.  They even found some ‘buried treasure’ showcasing the rings they would be exchanging in a few days’ time.  With one last swirl and kiss, the day ended on a beautiful note.
