Kelsey & Alex { Folly Beach Proposal }

We enjoy all of our beautiful weddings and fun engagements but every now and again we get to be involved with the perfect moment – the proposal.  Noni headed to the ocean for a lovely Folly Beach proposal, and we’re elated to share the portraits with you today.  Alex brought Kelsey down the beach to a beautiful spot with the Morris Island Lighthouse in the background against a sky of bluish grey and pink.  It was perfect.  When he dropped to one knee, she just started smiling and instantly agreed, pulling him in for a big kiss before admiring her new ring.

After Alex showed Kelsey that Noni was out of sight capturing the whole event, they were game for a few engagement portraits.  Relaxing on the sand and basking in the moment, they looked so at ease.  Kelsey wore a beautiful patterned red dress while Alex looked comfortable in his blue plaid button-up and khaki shorts.  The early fall weather was balmy even in the early evening.

Noni wanted to do a little exploring and the duo were excited to come along.  They climbed up on a few granite boulders and Kelsey fit perfectly in Alex’s arms.  And what’s a trip to the beach without a few moments trekking through the sand?  The photo of their kiss with the sky reflected in the tidal pool is a favorite.  And we adore the tiny crab!  With impromptu portraits such as these, you really never know what’s going to happen and it might seem like a small detail at the time, but it’s one that you’ll back on later and just smile.

Alex, thank you for bringing us along on this journey and we’re excited to have been a part of such a special moment.  We wish you the best of luck as you continue your lives together!
