Bridgit recently had the privilege of capturing a beautiful, outdoor Magnolia Plantation wedding and we’re excited to share some highlights from Jennie and John’s special day! Known as one of the country’s most beautiful gardens, Magnolia Plantation offers timeless beauty and breathtaking landscapes steeped in history. As outdoor enthusiasts, Jennie and John wanted their wedding to reflect their love of nature, which made Magnolia Plantation a perfect backdrop for their special day. Bridgit began with a sneak peek at Jennie’s timeless bridal look, with flowing, lace-inspired dress and natural, succulent inspired bouquet. She is simply stunning standing on the white bridge with draping Spanish moss perfectly framing her. Her bridesmaids complimented her look with periwinkle dresses and airy white rose bouquets.
After a fun first look featuring the wedding party, it was off to the riverside for the couple’s intimate ceremony. We love the simple elegance of the arbor, with its flowing white fabric and floral adornments. The ceremony was beautiful and, after sharing their “I do’s” and first kisses, the newlyweds headed off with Bridgit for portraits. Magnolia Plantation’s eclectic natural offerings provided many beautiful moments, including the lovely kiss at water’s edge with a live oak hanging over the river. The newlywed portraits perfectly capture the beauty of the day and the majesty of the environment.
After exploring the gardens, the couple were ready to celebrate and headed to their reception at the Conservatory. The Conservatory’s deck was decorated with strands of cafe lights criss-crossing overhead cocktail tables and the dance floor. Plants planted in Mason jars served as the centerpieces, and we love that each guest received a tiny potted plant in memory of the couple’s wedding day. Jennie and John shared their first dance under the lights and the stars, lost in the moment with one another. Before escaping into the night, the duo walked underneath a shower of sparklers and created a unique portrait with sparklers twirling around them against the winter night.
Jennie and John, thank you both again for allowing us to share in your wedding day. We felt the love between you two and wish nothing but happiness in the years to come. Congratulations again!
