Shannon ventured to the peninsula for some stylish and fun downtown Charleston engagement portraits and we’re excited to share some of our favorites from the session! Our lovely couple, Ashley and Brandon, came ready to have a blast and it shows in their portraits. We love that they chose to include their schnauzer, what a cutie in his baby blue bow tie. The couple started with more formal attire with Ashley wearing a lovely blue, lace-overlayed dress completed with a gold belt and metallic high heels. Brandon complimented Ashley’s style well, looking rather handsome in his blue checked shirt and khakis. For the second half of their portrait session, the couple opted for a more daytime casual look: a white dress with lace accents and suede ankle boots for her and red plaid and jeans for him.
Along with its abundant charm and stunning vistas, Charleston’s architecture is world-renowned. Shannon selected several unique textures and facades to feature during her time with Ashley and Brandon. A bricked archway began the day and we adore the puppy love featured in the first few portraits. He looked so happy to be exploring Charleston with everyone! Charleston ironwork, one of the Holy City’s most defining features, is on full display behind Ashley and Brandon as they shared a tender moment. After stopping in front of a unique, pockmarked facade for a quick kiss, the lovebirds continued their Downtown walkabout to a doorway with two Ionic columns for some additional portraits. They ended the session playfully strolling on the Battery with the setting sun glittering off of the Harbor. We adore soft moments like this with our couples, and we’re happy that Ashley and Brandon were up for sharing the joys of their engagement with us.
