Jenna & Matt { William Aiken House Wedding }

We are so excited to share some photos from a recent William Aiken House wedding! Built in 1810 and registered as a National Historical Landmark, the William Aiken House features breathtaking architecture and sophisticated decor representative of Charleston’s charm. Emily made great use of both while capturing Jenna as she got ready in a vibrant red room. Her gorgeous sweetheart gown was accentuated perfectly by the embellished bodice and her gem adorned Badgley Mischka high heels. We love the portrait of Jenna lounging on a beautiful antique chair. She’s simply elegant and regal.  Her fiance Matt was elated when he first saw Jenna during their touching first look, and we think the portraits of the two together in the courtyard are wonderful.

The outside ceremony was held on the William Aiken House grounds beneath the white arbor complimented by romantic drapery and an array of fall floral designs. After tying the knot underneath an ornate chandelier, Jenna and Matt strolled along the streets of historic downtown for photos. We love the fun nature of these portraits, especially the one where they are playing in the leaves. The timeless dip outside of the American Theater before they headed to celebrate with friends and family.

Decorated in gorgeous purples and gold accents, the William Aiken House was transformed inside and out for the reception. Beautiful centerpieces that mirrored those at the ceremony awaited guests, along with a macaroon treat to excite the palate before dinner. The reception was a classy yet incredibly fun affair, beginning with a human archway for Jenna and Matt’s arrival. We love the candids of guests dancing, especially Jenna and her father showing off their moves. As the night wound down, Matt took another opportunity for a dipped kiss with his new bride, this time on top of shimmering pond. Before departing in a vintage black car, the newlyweds were all smiles underneath a sparkler arch. What a beautiful end to such a wonderful day!
