Shannon had the pleasure of photographing a gorgeous Pavilion at Pepper Plantation wedding and we are excited to share some of special moments from the day. Located about an hour’s drive northeast from Charleston in Awendaw, SC, Pepper Plantation features a beautiful barn-inspired venue and scenic vistas perfect for Southern weddings. Shannon used the natural beauty to capture Kiki in her stunning Melissa Sweet bridal gown embossed with flowers complimented by a lush all-white bouquet. Underneath hanging moss, Kiki and Chris shared their first look and even brought their dog into some of the portraits. The couple looked perfect underneath the large mossy oak tree with a fenced field spreading into the background.
The plantation’s natural beauty served as the perfect backdrop for Kiki and Chris to say, “I do!” The sprawling trees and pond offered a serene landscape during the ceremony. Kiki and Chris were joined at the altar by their baby and we just adore the pictures of the little one sleeping soundly while the couple exchange vows. The young man snoozed straight through the ceremony, waking only to share in his parents’ newlywed photos on a rustic dock. Such a handsome little man in that adorable outfit!
The plantation’s Pavilion housed the reception and the rich, warm exposed wood and wide windows made for a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Cascading cafe lights and streamer backdrop provided a festive space to showcase the 3-tier wedding cake. The cake from Peninsula Grill is absolutely stunning and fits the rich, warm earth tones of the theme perfectly. Several chic decorations, including wine bottle vases and a chalkboard with the newlyweds’ initials also highlighted a rustic elegance. After enjoying the delicious meal and sweet treats, the newlyweds and their guests took to the dance floor for a night of fun. The portraits of the couple dancing is beautiful and we love the smiles and captured laughter from all of the guests. This truly was a beautiful and fun day that we will not soon forget.
Congratulations again, Kiki and Chris, and we thank you for inviting us to join in on your special day. We wish nothing but the best for you and your family in the future!
