Hannah M. & Kevin G. { Daniel Island Club Wedding }

Shannon had the pleasure of photographing a lovely Daniel Island Club wedding, and we’re excited to share some of our favorite photos from Hannah and Kevin’s spring Southern soiree! This fun-loving couple met at Furman University where their shared interest in sports brought them together. Kevin was on the baseball team, and Hannah was a track runner. They had their first date at Kevin’s baseball team holiday party and they have been together ever since!

Hannah looked stunning with flowers in her hair and a mermaid cut gown covered in tulle. Her bouquet was perfectly spring inspired with blooms of peonies and  ranunculus, accented with lamb’s ear and spiky eryngium. Hannah’s bridal bouquet was a floral masterpiece crafted by designer Out of the Garden. We love that the peonies carry over into the bridesmaids’ bouquets which also feature pink juliet roses. Kevin looked quite dapper in his Ted Baker suit and bow tie from Brackish. Kevin and his dad donned blue suits that set them apart from the navy shade that the groomsmen wore. This created a unique element that adds a pop of blue while keeping all the men’s suits in the same color palette.

Hannah and Kevin exchanged vows on the back lawn of the Daniel Island Club, overlooking the beautiful Lowcountry marsh in the presence of their closest friends and family. We adore the handcrafted floral arbor. It made for a light and ethereal backdrop for the couple as they exchanged their vows. We also can’t help but notice another special guest – Hannah and Kevin’s adorable dog, Murphy, who looked stylish in a floral garland collar! After saying “I do!” the pair had their first portraits as husband and wife – their blissful joy and newlywed glow simply emanate in the photos and Shannon was elated to capture the love these two share.

After portraits around the Club’s grounds, everyone was ready to celebrate. The reception festivities began with the couple’s first dance and we can’t help but applaud the romantic touch of dance floor being lit with a monogram of their initials. Guests were treated to culinary delights crafted by the Daniel Island Club followed by dessert from Ashley Bakery – wedding cake is always a perfect palette cleanser. Guests brought their best moves to the dance floor with some even providing a bit of vocal improv. One of our favorite moments from that evening is when the Horah chair lift took place. The collective excitement and love for Hannah and Kevin by everyone present is captured perfectly in that frame. As their celebration winded down, friends and family sent the couple off into their future with an arch of sparklers.

Kevin and Hannah, we wish the best for you two and thank you for letting us be a part of such a special time in both of your lives!
