Kristi & Kurtis { Hopelands Gardens Wedding }

Jeanne trekked a few hours outside of Charleston to Aiken for a beautiful Hopelands Gardens wedding, and we’re excited to share some of her favorite moments with you today!  Hopelands Gardens is one of Aiken’s most gorgeous public spaces and we love the wonderful day that Kristi and Kurtis were able to create amongst the natural beauty.  Southern charm and a touch of chic rustic coursed throughout the event, from the outdoor ceremony to the lively reception.  Kristi’s dress was perfect for the day, a trumpet silhouette with delicate lace overlay fitted with satin ties.  A gorgeous, flowing veil and a delicate bouquet featuring miniature white roses completed her stylish and classic bridal ensemble.  Looking quite dapper himself in his grey three piece suit with sandstone bow tie, Kurtis was calm and collected as he awaited the arrival of his bride-to-be.

Led by one of the most adorable flower girls we’ve ever seen, Kristi made her way to Kurtis at the edge of a brick laden garden overlooking some of Hopelands’ iconic live oaks.  Surrounded by family and friends, with sunlight trickling through the wide canopy of branches, Kristi and Kurtis exchanged their vows and were all smiles when they finally made it official!  Jeanne chose some of Hopelands’ most breathtaking paths for a series of beautiful newlywed portraits, including one by the reflection pool from the ceremony that we just adore.  Doesn’t Kristi just look fantastic in that dress?  Simply stunning.

The main house of Hopelands Gardens is a gorgeous, restored plantation home and provided an inviting atmosphere for the lovely reception.  We always love when our couples come up with unique guestbooks and the polished plaque with a silhouette of South Carolina focused on Aiken was an amazing idea.  It fit the rustic feel of the day and went well with the wood shavings on the linens and the soft pinks and whites dotting the tables.  Fresh from their time with Jeanne, the newlyweds arrived ready to get down and they joined their guests for a night of delicious food, laughs and even some tears.  The flower girl even made a return as she took to the dance floor to the delight of everyone watching.  Having enjoyed their day with friends and family, the couple were eager to get this new chapter of their lives started, Kristi and Kurtis gave the crowd one more kiss underneath an arch of sparklers before heading off into the night hand in hand.

We’d like to thank the both of you again for choosing us to come to Aiken and capture all of the beauty from this wonderful day.  We wish you years and years of happiness together.  Congratulations again!
