Devon & Michael { Boone Hall Plantation Wedding }

Cana headed to Mount Pleasant for a lovely Boone Hall Plantation wedding, and we’re excited to share our favorite moments with you today! Boone Hall is one of the area’s most recognizable and breathtaking venues and features seasonal gardens, a stunning avenue of oaks and seemingly endless Southern charm. The Cotton Dock, however, is the belle of the Hall and was an amazing locale for Devon and Michael’s ceremony and reception. Devon was a sight to behold in her gown with lace detail and silver beading at the waist. Textured white heels and pearl and diamond earrings and charm were the finishing touches on a lovely bridal ensemble. Michael was a dapper fellow down at the Cotton Dock in his black vest and sand-colored slacks with matching tie.

The Cotton Dock features a panoramic view of Horlbeck Creek and its marshes.  This lovely natural backdrop framed with beautiful billowing drapery served as a picturesque location for their ceremony.  With their vows exchanged and a kiss shared to the delight of their gathered friends, Devon and Michael headed off with Cana to find the perfect spot for newlywed portraits. The main gate leading to the plantation house is a beautiful example of Charleston’s intricate ironwork, and we love the photo of Devon in the archway. Her bridal portraits were stunning and the sprawling live oaks created a deeply Southern sophisticated atmosphere. We love that the duo chose to spend a lot of time with their wedding parties as it’s always fun when a lot of folks get together and let their personalities out. But, our favorites are definitely the tender moments with just them walking among the trees. They’re so cute together!

Back at the Cotton Dock, the cocktails were making their rounds and the guests were eager to get started! The exposed beams were strung with lights, casting a pale glow on the linens and glassware below. We love the different designs of lanterns scattered across the room and the gorgeous, lush roses that accompanied them. Upon their arrival, Devon and Michael took to the floor for their first dance and then dined on the delectable cuisine provided by Duvall Events. Even though they’d already trekked across the plantation once for portraits, they were eager to join Cana again for just a few more, including a favorite of ours by an ancient oak on the waterfront. With the sun setting on the horizon, it was the perfect end to a gorgeous wedding at Boone Hall.

Thank you both again for allowing us to join your family and friends for a STUNNING wedding! We had a blast and wish you both nothing but happiness as you move forward together. Congratulations again!
