Shannon had the privilege of venturing East of the Cooper River for a gorgeous Dunes West wedding, and we’re ecstatic to share her experiences with you today. Known for its beautiful waterfront vistas and resort atmosphere, Dunes West is a fantastic wedding venue with seemingly endless possibilities for the perfect day. Sunsets are especially gorgeous and that’s what our couple Karysma and Christopher were looking for! The duo met in high school and truly had that high school romance that movies are made of. Through college and being apart while Christopher was deployed, the two have fought for each other and their relationship and finally were able to tie the knot. Karysma was breathtaking in her embellished lace trumpet gown and dusty blue PrettyLittleThing strapped heels. Sporting grey vests and slacks with ties to match Karysma’s shoes, Christopher and his groomsmen were a handsome entourage as they awaited her arrival.
Rows of white chairs lined a stone path leading to a beautiful, twisting oak with Spanish moss hanging above the guests. The spot for the ceremony was rustic and oh so romantic. Exchanging their vows, Karysma and Christopher looked amazing against the natural beauty surrounding them. After a brief moment with the wedding party and a couple of handsome young gentlemen, Shannon pulled the newlyweds away for their portraits. Huge oaks and a sparkling waterfront were beautiful backdrops and we love the pale golden light of the late afternoon sun. We love the photo of the duo sharing a quick kiss by the water, it’s so sweet!
The bright and airy clubhouse was the perfect location for a semi-formal dinner with tons of charm. Tables were set up inside and out, featuring white linens and seasonal flowers in Mason jars. The rose and dusty blue palette that Karysma chose was absolutely perfect for the atmosphere in the reception and matched the pale walls and rich wood accents beautifully. While their guests indulged in a scrumptious meal provided by the resort, the newlyweds took to the floor for their first dance. The timeless country classic “It’s Your Love” by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill was an obvious choice for the duo – it’s impossible to imagine two people more in love.
Thank you both again for choosing us to share in your beautiful wedding. It was a remarkable day that we’ll be talking about for a while! Congratulations again.
Christopher – thank you for your service to our country and we hope that you stay safe as you fight to protect what we all hold dear.
