Brittany & Sean { Middleton Place Wedding }

Charleston is no short supply of venues featuring beautiful houses and gorgeous grounds.  A Middleton Place wedding features all of the interior beauty perfect for those amazing portraits and manicured lawns with sprawling oaks for any idyllic ceremony.  Shannon was recently at Middleton Place with Brittany and Sean for a stunning wedding full of southern charm, and we’re excited to share her experiences with you today.  Brittany was breathtaking in her white gown and blush and silver peek-toe heels.  An heirloom necklace with matching earrings rounded out a lovely ensemble.  On the house’s spiral staircase, she was a vision from another era.

In front of one of the plantation’s huge live oaks, Sean was waiting patiently.  He looked fantastic in his stylish tux.  Behind him, the Ashley River flowed lazily.  Rows upon rows of guests radiated out from the tree and it was a packed gathering!  When Brittany arrived, Sean’s jaw dropped along with everyone else’s.  She was so beautiful.  The two shared their vows with a cool breeze filtering in off of the water.  The beautiful oak and hanging moss created a lovely arbor around the two as they shared their first kiss as a married couple.  Their newlywed portraits featured even more of Middleton’s grounds with the gardens and reflection pools adding a romantic touch to each photo.  Finally, it was time to party and they headed back to the house to be with their guests.

Outdoor receptions are amazing because they take on the atmosphere of their surroundings and there are few venues that can top Middleton’s natural beauty.  The dark green of the trees complimented the white, gold, and soft orange color palette splashed across the tables.  It’s always refreshing to see banquet tables for all guests because the best conversation and the liveliest faces are captured in those large crowds.  As the sun faded and the night crept in, the party cranked up and the dance floor became the center of attention as folks looked to unwind and celebrate.  Before long, it was time for Brittany and Sean to depart the reception.  A vintage car was waiting for the newlyweds, and they headed off into the night in search of a new adventure.

Thank you both for inviting us into your family for your wedding.  We had such a blast getting to know everyone.  We wish you both all the best as you move forward together.  Congratulations again!!!
