Brianna Matt have a sweet story. They met in college while Brianna was living in a dorm that also housed the wrestling team which Matt was the captain of. After months of getting to know each other they eventually started dating and fell in love! Now out of college, Matt, a pharmacist, and Brianna, a music teacher, decided to build their lives together. The couple’s stunning River House at Lowndes Grove wedding is so unique and has become one of our favorites. Sara was there to photograph the day which was full of awesome DIY decor and gorgeous greenery by Pretty Petals of Charleston. We are smitten with the creative earthy table settings, including glass terrariums, assorted vintage napkins and accents green and gold. Meagan Warren did a wonderful job coordinating everything.
Brianna and Matt looked great in their vintage style ensembles, which were especially fitting for a historic venue like the River House at Lowndes Grove. Also we absolutely love the complimentary but different bridesmaids dresses! Aren’t they wonderful?! The River House at Lowndes Grove has many great spots for bride and groom portraits. For more formal weddings the couple can pose in front of the house, or for a more classic Lowcountry feel, there are winding oak trees to stand under as well as a long dock to pose on. Sara however, went with the earthy vintage style of the wedding and took our favorite portraits on a beautiful log overlooking the marsh. These portraits are blowing us away!
Brianna and Matt spent the evening celebrating with friends and family dancing to the music of the Emerald Empire Band. Once the dancing started, glow sticks became a party worthy accessory. Enough said. These guys know how to have a good time!
If you’d like to see more photos of these two, Sara also captured their lovely engagement session here. Congratulations Brianna and Matt!
