Emily headed Downtown for some cute Charleston engagement portraits and we’re excited to share them with you today! Betsy was born and raised in Baltimore and her fiancee Matt is a Southern gent from Gulf Coast Mississippi. The couple decided on a Charleston wedding because it’s equidistant for both families. They both love to travel and jumped at the opportunity to come to Charleston for their engagement portraits. We love that the couple’s fashionable style is a complimentary mix of comfort and class. Their matching denim reflected the theme of the day and Betsy’s scarf was a showstealer, adding a splash of color to the ensemble of blue and cream.
Emily sought out several locations that exuded that Charleston feel to showcase the couple and we love her selections. The trio began in a brick alley that elicits a sense of adventure and a desire to stroll down the path to see where it leads to next. Charleston’s gorgeous ironwork and some leaves kissed by Autumn served as a beautiful backdrop for a few photos and provided a small bit of natural beauty to our cute couple. Betsy and Matt were never short on smiles and looked completely in love while they walked the streets of the Holy City. Their trek down a cobblestone lane reflected the old city atmosphere that Charleston’s famous for and created a beautiful moment that we’re lucky to have experienced. After their adventure around Downtown, Emily snapped a final portrait of Betsy and Matt smiling at one another leaning against a low brick wall.
Congratulations again to you two and we’re so excited to share the rest of the journey with you as you head toward your William Aiken House wedding next summer!
