The Beards { Kiawah Island Family }

Bridgit headed south of Charleston for some fun Kiawah Island family portraits with the Beards and we’re happy to share her favorite moments with you today.  The Sanctuary at Kiawah is a gorgeous resort featuring manicured grounds, sprawling live oaks, and private beaches perfect for relaxation – and for amazing family portraits.  As anyone with a large family knows, gathering everyone in one place at one time is a miracle in itself and vacation portraits are a fantastic way to chronicle all of the fun had during those sun-drenched days on the sand.

We look forward to family portraits because most times, families like to color coordinate and the Beards were no exception.  Peach and baby blue were the colors of choice and the men sported button-ups and khakis while the ladies alternated between seasonal sundresses and khaki shorts and light blouses.  For shoes, some opted for loafers or sneakers while others wanted open toes for the warm summer air.  In either case, everyone looked fantastic standing together with the island’s greenery spreading out in the background.

Before heading off to the beach, Bridgit captured portraits of everyone in groups and the smiles were contagious.  All of the Beards were so happy to be around one another it showed in their photos.  The sunset portraits on the sands were so lovely with the setting sun glittering over the ocean.  The family took turns squeezing in together for a few more group photos before heading off down the beach, bare feet in the water and laughing together.  It was a wonderful sound.
