The Wangs { Kiawah Island Family }

When you get a big family together, especially one that’s playful and lively, it’s always a blast to photograph!  For some recent Kiawah Island family portraits, Haley spent an afternoon with the Bercegeay patriarch and his wide family tree, and we’re excited to share some of our favorite moments with you today!  The family has been coming to Kiawah for 30 years and couldn’t think of a better place to get everyone in one place (finally!) for those elusive group portraits.  With its stunning ocean views, beautiful landscapes and resort atmosphere, the island surely did not disappoint.

Dressed in varying hues of blue and khaki, the color coordination was on point.  The guys opted for classic button-ups and shorts while the ladies looked beautiful in their tops, slacks and dresses.  For the warm day, dressing for comfort was a necessity and they all looked amazing.  We especially love the little girl in her beautiful printed dress.  The blues matched the bow in her hair and her bright blue eyes.  She was too adorable!

A wide staircase was the perfect spot to capture everyone together, with the rustic feel of the home’s architecture serving as an ideal backdrop for the portraits.  As the family split up and headed down to the beach, Haley was able to snap candid portraits of the laughter and joy that can only come from family gatherings.  And, of course she caught a few more of the adorable little princess as she made her way into as many arms as possible.  We adore the couples as well as each one brought their own personalities to the photos, especially the Michigan fans for their mini engagement session.  Their playful nature had us smiling as we looked back on the day and it was certainly a fitting end to a wonderful time.

Thank you all so much for bringing us along for a part of your vacation and hope that you continue to make Charleston your second home for many years.

Go Wolverines!
