ABOUT THE VENUE

This delightful 60-acre green space in northwest Charleston dates back to the late 1700’s, and the centuries of care are obvious. Situated next to the Citadel, Hampton Park offers much needed fresh air and floral sights.  The Park is a pride of the City of Charleston, and is ideal for weddings not only for the ample space and flora (from massive oaks to cultivated rose gardens), but because it’s one of the few public parks offering restrooms and parking for guests.  But the park isn’t all open green spaces; there are water features and a gazebo to add variety and personality to any event held within.  Hampton Park provides the feel of a low country wilderness getaway while conveniently located near much of what Charleston has to offer.

WHY WE LOVE CHARLESTON’S HAMPTON PARK

We love supporting public parks and green spaces, especially when they’re as wonderful as Hampton Park!  The venue is fantastic for romantic portraits in natural settings that will withstand the test of time.  Live Oaks are juxtaposed with classic streetlights and manicured gardens for a feel that is quintessentially City Park.  From a photographic standpoint, you have a plethora of backdrops to appease any nature lover.  We’re also used to following couples from Hampton Park to a nearby reception venue, of which there is no shortage to choose from!  The variety of spaces within the park and options nearby make Hampton park a near perfect outdoor venue for downtown Charleston.
