Susie & Kyle { Mills House Wedding }

Bridgit spent some time Downtown to photograph a lovely Mills House wedding and we’re excited to share some of her favorite experiences with you today! Susie and Kyle met through work and both enjoy finding little adventures to go on whenever they can. They wanted a relaxed and fun day that required just a little dressing up and what they came up with was fantastic. Susie’s gown was simply elegant with its lace accents and flowing skirt. She looked amazing standing with Kyle (not too shabby himself in a stylish tux) during their first look. Bridgit chose a few spots for the pre-ceremony portraits that embodies Charleston, such as a lane with both iconic cobblestone and ironwork. Throw in a few bubbles and you have perfection.

Sacred Heart Catholic Church on King Street held the ceremony and its high vaulted ceiling and dramatic interior lent an air of sophistication to the proceedings. After a beautiful Catholic service, the couple exchanged their vows and sealed it with a kiss. It was time to party! The Mills House was perfect for the reception and, as one of Charleston’s iconic historic buildings, provided a classy, luxurious feel to what was truly a great time. We love the classy 4 top table setup, perfect for conversations over coffee and Ashley Bakery’s cake! Sol Driven Train, one of Charleston’s most popular bands, provided some great music for all ages and our newlyweds danced with their guests through the night. For such a beautiful day, this was a fitting end.
