Sonja & Mark { Old Village Post House Wedding }

Amanda recently spent some time in Mount Pleasant for a rustic and romantic Old Village Post House wedding and we’re so excited to share some of our favorite moments with you today! Resting in Mount Pleasant’s iconic Old Village, the Post House benefits from the area’s gorgeous tree-lined avenues and beautiful gardens and courtyards. Amanda chose a few of her favorite spots for Sonja and Mark’s first look and pre-ceremony portraits. Sonja was stunning in her mermaid style gown with intricate lacework, complimented by gold peek-toe heels. Mark was quite sharp himself in his suit and patterned blue tie.

After putting the finishing touches on her beautiful look, Sonja met Mark in a courtyard and we absolutely adore their emotional embrace. The amount of elation on Sonja’s face was so amazing. The courtyard was perfect for first look portraits, featuring a lovely arch covered in ivy stretching from a nearby tree. Framing the smiling couple under the green brought out the subtle hues in Mark’s tie and Sonja’s bouquet. The stylistic portraits along the roped fence were also rather beautiful with the marsh peeking through from behind the leaves. Amanda also took advantage of the Post House itself as a backdrop with Sonja’s lush white bouquet looking like a centerpiece among the pink flowers.

Bucking tradition, Sonja and Mark walked down the aisle together and he could hardly contain his excitement. They were all smiles as they exchanged vows underneath an arch styled in wrought iron, an acoustic guitar casting a gorgeous melody across the crowd. After sealing the wedding with a kiss, Sonja and Mark were joined by Mark’s daughter for the first portrait of the new family and everyone beamed with excitement. They didn’t have to go far for a delicious dinner as the Post House provided mouthwatering local fare including crab soup and salmon. While their guests enjoyed the fantastic meal, Amanda stole the newlyweds away for one more portrait, a sweet kiss with the late afternoon sun’s fading light dancing off of the river.

We would like to thank the both of you again for choosing us to share this journey with you and wish you nothing but love and happiness as you begin this new chapter together. Congratulations again!
