Noelle & Daniel { Historic Charleston Engagement }

Historic Charleston engagement portraits features all of the charm of Charleston’s historic district with beautiful outdoor spaces perfect for those unique portraits for the save-the-dates.  For Noelle and Daniel, this was perfect as they wanted to incorporate some of Charleston’s brighter hues found in the Rainbow Row and waterfront areas.  They met with Emily B. on one of the city’s many cobblestone lanes with aged walls on either side.  The rustic charm added a feel of another era to the photos and we simply adore the connection that the duo shared.  They played off one another, laughing and having a great time while Emily snapped the candid shots that Noelle wanted.

Noelle was quite pretty in her classic black dress with white and yellow shawl and black strapped wedges.  For the day, she was ready to go. Daniel was handsome himself in a pair of silvery-blue chinos, white button-up and rich brown shoes with a belt to match.  Walking beneath the canopy of oak branches, they held hands and had a few conversations while Emily snapped away.  The cobblestone path gave way to a quiet alley lined with ivy-covered walls.  The greens and browns added a natural feel to the photos.

But then, it was time for pastel pinks and stucco facades – the pops of color that Noelle wanted for her engagement portraits.  The bright homes are a southern staple and no place does it better than the Holy City.  Emily found several house-scapes perfect for what the couple envisioned and then led them to a few storefronts with some wrought iron, tall windows, and a vintage feel.  All the while, their smiles never faded, and we adore how in love they look.  As the sun faded, a golden light washed over them between the trees and created a glow that made for the perfect portrait.  It was a beautiful end to such a lovely day.

Thank you both or having us along to celebrate your engagement and we look forward to seeing you later this year!
