Navjot & Rakesh {Downtown Charleston Engagement}

We love spring engagement sessions! Check out our latest downtown Charleston engagement session photographed by Cana. Navjot met Rakesh in New York in 2009 while she was vacationing in the city. They both were out in the Meatpacking District at a hotspot known as the Buddha Bar. They dated long distance for a while and recently got engaged while at Zero George Street in downtown Charleston. Navjot told us that she wanted their Charleston engagement session to really reflect who they are as a couple. So we incorporated some elements that were very special to them. During their session, we stopped by a local Charleston coffee shop, City Lights Coffee, and snapped a few photos of the two of them enjoying a cup of coffee together. It’s one of their favorite local coffee shops that they often frequent together. We love when couples include personal elements or spots that they love into their session. It personalizes their portraits to reflect their personalities and what they enjoy doing together. Which is what an engagement session is all about! As photographers, we love when couples want to try something new or different. Don’t be shy about talking to your photographer about ways you can incorporate something you love into your engagement session, that will showcase your specific interests.

Congratulations to Navjot and Rakesh on their Engagement!
