Melissa & Alex {Intimate Charleston Wedding}

We are very excited to share this very intimate Charleston wedding with you all this afternoon!  Love first sparked between Melissa and Alex one particularly happy Christmas in Washington, DC.  They were introduced to each other through mutual friends at a holiday party, and they hit it off instantly.  The two love spending time together sharing laughs while trying new recipes in the kitchen and exploring new places in DC.  Alex is a travel enthusiast, and is so excited to show his new bride all over Europe!  Melissa and Alex prefer small gatherings of close friends and family, so an intimate wedding in Charleston, a place where Melissa has enjoyed visiting for years and has created many fond memories, seemed to be the perfect way to celebrate their marriage.  Their immediate families joined the happy couple on a beautiful, sunny day in late June at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church to witness them exchanging of vows.  After the ceremony, the celebration continued with cocktails and an amazing feast at High Cotton, one of Charleston’s most delicious restaurants.

We adore how sweet and personal the whole day felt.  Melissa was absolutely breathtaking in her lacy Liancarlo gown, complimented beautifully by a very soft and romantic bouquet crafted by Tiger Lily Florist.  Melissa had mentioned how ecstatic she was to share the magic of Charleston with Alex and his family, who were visiting the city for their first time.  Looking back on their dreamy portraits and the smiles and laughter of all in attendance, it seems to us that Melissa’s dreams came true.  Melissa and Alex, here’s to you!  We wish you a wonderful European honeymoon, and a lifetime of happiness together!
