Leah & Matthew { Folly Beach Wedding }

A recent Folly Beach wedding that Haley photographed was an intimate affair featuring Charleston’s beautiful shores and two people in love.  Leah and Matthew wanted something a quiet and laid back for their wedding day, and we love all of the wonderful photos Haley was able to capture.  She met up with Leah as the bride-to-be was getting ready.  Her flowing tea-length gown was complimented beautifully by a pink and orange bouquet and fun, floral patterned strapped heels.  A pair of earrings and a lovely rose gold necklace completed her gorgeous ensemble.  Against the exposed brick in her room, she was absolutely stunning.

Matthew waited not far away in a secluded courtyard.  He was dressed for beach weather, opting for khaki shorts and a nice button-up for the ceremony.  We adore their first look and the range of emotions that flashed across his face.  We think he settled on “Wow!” just like we did.  The beautiful garden and aged brick backdrop created a lovely atmosphere for the perfect pre-ceremony portraits.

Folly is one of Charleston’s most popular beaches but the sands were empty for the private ceremony.  Matthew donned some shades and the pair exchanged personalized vows with waves crashing behind them.  And then they swore to love each other forever and sealed it with a kiss.  Though she was in her wedding dress, Leah was ready to get adventurous for her newlywed portraits.  We love that the duo scaled a small wall for a few beautiful photos.  They walked along the beach and just had a great time being with each other while Haley snapped picture after picture.  And as the message written in the sand said, Leah loves Matthew – in the end, a wedding day is as simple as that.
