Jordan & Peter { Francis Marion Hotel Wedding }

When thinking of Charleston and the multitude of hotels here, it’s possible to envision ceremonies and receptions at all of them. A recent Francis Marion Hotel wedding and reception was absolutely divine and we’re so happy to share some of Shannon’s experiences with you today. Jordan and Peter met while she was visiting a friend in England and, after a not-so-chance meeting at dinner, they began a friendship that has blossomed across the pond into something so much more. As a mixture of American and English, the duo wanted a wedding that had an old-fashioned feel and celebrated their love and a touch of antiquity as well. From the impeccable dress to the inspired décor, the day was beyond gorgeous.

Jordan’s bridal look was simply stunning. She wore a beautiful ballgown with lace bodice complimented by champagne-colored peek-toe heels and matching ribbon tied around her waist into a huge bow at the small of her back. A silver, embellished headband and teardrop pearl earrings completed the classic and sophisticated ensemble. Peter’s grey suit with periwinkle tie matched Jordan brilliantly and we love the extended coattails! The two of them are positively breathtaking in their courtyard first look. They shared a few romantic moments before the ceremony and all eyes were on the bride. Doesn’t she just glow?

The First Baptist Church of Charleston‘s open chapel lent the feeling of grandeur to the ceremony and the white hydrangeas matched the wood floor and polished marble perfectly. After exchanging vows, the newlyweds were greeted by a shower of flower petals and spent some time with their family and friends before heading to the Francis Marion Hotel for a lovely reception. Jordan and Peter’s vision for an antique-inspired wedding was everywhere: soft linens covered the tables, the chairs were adorned by beautiful bows matching the bride’s, and flowers and candles made beautiful centerpieces. We love all of the little details, especially those on Sablee‘s delicate cake! The day was perfect, the night was beautiful and through it all, our couple never lost sight of one another. This was truly a magical wedding.

Jordan and Peter, thank you both so very much for allowing us to share in your dream wedding. We wish you both nothing but the best as you start your new family across the pond and hope you take fond memories of Charleston wherever life takes you. Congratulations again!
