We’re sharing some of our favorites from a stylish Downtown Charleston engagement portraits session that concluded on Folly Beach. Being from New York, Jocelyn and Britton wanted to incorporate Downtown Charleston’s Southern charm and the area’s beautiful beaches in their portraits. They began by walking on a cobblestone path and sharing a few romantic moments along the way. Of course, no Charleston-themed portraits would be complete without featuring some of the renowned historic iron work and we love the series of photographs featuring the iron fence with a courtyard in the background. On Folly Island, their adventurous side came out and we love the unique photographs that Emily was able to capture. Whether it was sitting tandem on a Tiffany blue bicycle or popping some champagne, Jocelyn and Britton were down for anything as long as they were having fun. Finally, with the iconic Morris Island Lighthouse standing guard, our lovely couple ended their day with a sweet kiss by the waves.
While we look forward to the different ways our couples want to mold this beautiful city into their perfect photographs, we also love the fashionable styles we may see. Jocelyn and Britton created perfect outfits that were not only stylish but compliment one another’s look. Jocelyn’s striking blue jumper is modern yet whimsical. Britton rocked dress pants and a button-up to match. Jocelyn’s classic hat that perfectly compliments her white and black ensemble complete with heels. Walking in heels on a cobblestone street is no small feat but she did so effortlessly. On Folly, the duo opted for a more casual, beach-appropriate look. Jocelyn’s blue plaid and white jeans look with pink sneakers were perfect for the environment. Britton’s addition of a light hoodie turned his Charleston casual look into beach comfort and was the perfect compliment to his lady’s beautiful attire.
Jocelyn and Britton, thank you for choosing Charleston as your vacation destination and for wanting Riverland Studios to capture such a wonderful moment in your lives. From beginning to end, the two of you were all smiles and we’re so very happy to have spent the time with you that we did!
