Along with its southern charm and historical atmosphere, Charleston also features beautiful beaches perfect for intimate weddings. A recent Gold Bug Island wedding, photographed by Cana, is a gorgeous example of everything we look forward to at beach weddings. Gold Bug Island is near Sullivan’s Island just across the Harbor from downtown and is a perfect spot for a quiet wedding day. Danielle and Ted envisioned something romantic and casual for their ceremony and reception and the secluded beach was perfect. Danielle’s dress was so beautiful – a shoulderless lace bodice giving way to a flowing chiffon skirt. Complimenting her perfectly was Ted who looked handsome in his white sand colored three piece with baby blue tie and some stylish shades.
With waves rolling in behind them and a few wispy clouds drifting across the sunny sky, Danielle and Ted became newlyweds after a kiss and a round of applause from their gathered friends and family. They wanted to include their wedding party into their portraits and we love that everyone’s personalities shone through. The ladies were incredibly gorgeous in their matching dresses and the gentlemen all looked quite cool in their shades. Cana was able to steal the newlyweds away for just a few portraits, including another moment with Danielle in her stunning dress. They look so awesome together!
The East Cooper Outboard Motor Club’s club house was perfect for the open and inviting atmosphere that Danielle and Ted wanted, with wide windows and exposed beams. The white linens and Mason jar centerpieces provided a bright and sparkling feel to the proceedings and the touch of baby blue in the floral arrangements was the perfect hint of color. We adore their custom coozies – we always look forward to couples who find subtle ways to put their stamp on their wedding. We also love that Ted just couldn’t help himself and had to pull Danielle in for one more kiss before the light faded. It was a sweet end to a beautiful day.
We would like to thank both of you again for choosing us to take part in your day and wish you nothing but the best as you head off into your new life hand in hand. Congratulations again!
