Caroline & Jason { American Theater Wedding }

Jeanne recently had the privilege of photographing a joyous American Theater Wedding and we’re excited to share her experience with you!  Even though Caroline and Jason both attended College of Charleston, their paths didn’t cross until they were out and about in Columbia.  Their connection kept growing through the discovery of mutual friends and then chance meetings on the College of Charleston campus.  Eventually fate revealed their future together and the couple planned a lovely winter wedding in Charleston.

We adore Caroline’s elegant Kate McDonald designed bridal gown, with gorgeous long lace sleeves and a plunging neckline.  Her gown as well as the bridesmaids’ dresses were complimented with cozy fur wraps, which were a welcome addition on this chilly day.  Caroline and her bridesmaids huddled and laughed together as Jeanne snapped portraits.  Jason looked truly dapper in his classic black tux and white rose and cypress boutonniere.  The timeless look of this wedding party was a perfect compliment to historic downtown and cobblestone streets.

Caroline looks simply stunning in her bridal portraits, and we love the intimate portraits of these two against the backdrop of a wall teeming with greenery.  Just past dusk, Caroline and Jason exchanged vows in the soft glow of the sanctuary of the striking French Huguenot church.  Their newlywed smiles were contagious as they walked up the aisle as wife and husband.

White roses, lilies, lanterns and lots of candlelight created a warm atmosphere that complimented the old Hollywood elements of the American Theater where the couple held their reception.  During their first dance as husband and wife, our couple only had eyes for each other.  All of the guests had such fun interacting and dancing with the Fantasy Band members. Caroline even helped out on tambourine.  The joy in the room was evident and the night concluded with the couple surrounded by their closest friends and family.
