Caitlin { Middleton Place Bridal Portraits }

This past Spring, Shannon had the pleasure of photographing Caitlin’s classically southern Middleton Place bridal portraits.  Middleton Place is a National Historic Landmark and is home to 65 acres of some of America’s most breathtaking landscape.  Shannon utilized the grounds to the fullest during the shoot, capturing Caitlin underneath sprawling trees draped in moss, next to beautiful lagoons and surrounded by lush green grass.  This environment was perfect for Caitlin, who is a self-described outdoors enthusiast.  In addition to breathtaking natural scapes, Shannon was sure to use some of Middleton Place’s historic buildings to frame the beautiful bride-to-be.  Caitlin’s chic bridal gown was accentuated by a white satin belt, an ensemble perfect for the season.  Her bouquet of white roses was exquisite and brought a fresh element that mirrored the surrounding environment.

Later in the Spring, Shannon had the opportunity to photograph the nuptuals between Caitlin and Al.  The traditional Catholic ceremony was held at Summerall Chapel on the Citadel campus where Al attended.  The celebration of the union took place at Hibernian Hall on Meeting Street in Charleston.  As several family members had also held their ceremonies at Hibernian Hall, Caitlin and Al wanted to keep with tradition.  Partying the night away before escaping under silver streamers, Caitlin and Al ventured into their new life together in a vintage getaway car surrounded by their family and friends.
