Ashley & Jon {Charleston Anniversary Portraits}

I had such a great time photographing this fun couple for their one-year anniversary, which they celebrated on a vacation here in beautiful Charleston. Ashley and Jon booked us for two hours which allowed ample time to explore Charleston’s historic downtown. We began at the Waterfront Park and enjoyed the tree-lined paths and views of the harbor. Ashley and Jon looked awesome in their formalwear – Jon sporting a paisley orange and teal bow tie with his grey suit, and Ashley in her long silk gown and gorgeous green pendant earrings. We strolled out of the park and found a great cobblestone road looking out on Charleston’s one and only Rainbow Row! These two looked equally stylish in their casual outfits – Ashley in a blue lace romper with colorful earrings and Jon, coordinated in navy slacks and a plaid button-down. We spent our second hour near the Charleston Battery and White Point Garden, and I just love the last shot of these two overlooking the water before they went off to enjoy their anniversary dinner at a nearby restaurant.

Ashley, a cardiac nurse, and Jon, a commercial real estate broker, work hard but also treasure their free time together. Living in Tampa, these two frequent the beach, love going to the movies and trying new restaurants. And they travel every chance they get! They were married one year ago in San Francisco, honeymooned in the Maldives and then of course, came to our favorite place, Charleston, for their anniversary!

We were thrilled when Ashley and Jon asked us to take their wedding anniversary portraits. Photographing couples on their anniversaries is so much fun for us because we can capture all the love and tenderness that has only grown since their wedding day. This type of portrait session makes it easy for couples to relax and focus on one another, which makes for not only great photos but a lovely time.
