Andi & Hub { Mingo Point Wedding }

Emily had the privilege of photographing Andi and Hub as they began their lives with each other in a gorgeous Mingo Point wedding. The couple met through a mutual friend while attending college in the early 2000s and finally connected years later in New York City. Hub enjoys an eclectic array of sports and leisure activities and Andi is an enthusiast of the arts and traveling. This fun-loving couple were all smiles during their wedding, despite a slightly overcast sky. Mingo Point and its surrounding grounds exuded lovely southern charm which defined the simple yet elegant proceedings.

Emily caught some stunning pictures of Andi in her beautiful dress against the picturesque marshfront. The gown was perfect for the occasion, light and airy with thin straps and a V-back. A dock overlooking the Kiawah River held the ceremony, which was simply decorate with gorgeous white roses from Village Market at Freshfields Village. While exchanging vows, Andi and Hub held their gaze on one another, breaking only to bow their heads for prayer. After their “I-Dos,” Emily whisked them away for newlywed portraits amongst the sawgrass and on the waterfront, a beautiful natural element that complimented their simple chic ceremony perfectly.

The reception hall at Mingo Point is a beautiful, naturally-warm space with high ceilings that feature exposed beams. The venue was transformed with deep blue decorations, hanging lights and a chandelier or two. As soon as Andi and Hub stepped into the reception, the celebration kicked into high gear and liveliness did not stop. The guests, young and old alike, sang and danced throughout the evening to the Chris Crosby Band. The bride and groom mingled as much as possible with their jovial guests and even took the time for an excellent portrait with several of their friends all holding onto one another. Into the night the guests celebrated, even while the newlyweds were sneaking away for one final sunset picture, all smiles gazing into each others’ eyes.
