Wedding Photography at the Legare Waring House
ABOUT THE VENUE
At the end of an avenue of oaks lies one of Charleston’s most iconic wedding and reception venues, the Legare Waring House. Nestled in historic Charles Towne Landing, the first European settlement of the Carolinas, the Legare Waring House offers period décor throughout, including four bridal suites and groom’s quarters. The manicured grounds are breathtaking, featuring sprawling live oaks, lagoons and a timeless wrought iron fountain. With plenty of space for an outdoor reception during those beautiful Charleston evenings, Legare Waring is an attractive option regardless of season. From couples wanting a more modern touch to their destination wedding to those who want to provide their guests with simple southern charm and undeniable elegance, the Legare Waring House has something for everyone.
WHY WE LOVE PHOTOGRAPHING AT THE LEGARE WARING HOUSE
Riverland Studios absolutely adores capturing events at the Legare Waring House. The house itself is gorgeous. The elegant antique furniture, vibrant colors and glowing wooden floors provide unique portrait alternatives to the traditional wedding photos. The bridal suites are especially lovely as they compliment the softness of bridal preparation and offer an air of southern grace. Outside, the grounds boast several features that excite our photographers and guests alike. Large lagoons team with wildlife and add a beautiful natural element to wedding, engagement, or family portraits. The avenue of oaks, however, is the featured element and can perfectly frame a happy couple’s ceremony or serve as the backdrop to portraits. Regardless of occasion or season, we always look forward to spending time at the Legare Waring House with our couples.
