Poogan’s Porch Proposal

Haley had the pleasure of spending her NYE capturing a Poogan’s Porch Proposal (say that 3 times fast!) and we are thrilled to share the experience with you today.  Poogan’s Porch is a well-known low country restaurant on the historic Charleston Peninsula,  tucked away on charming Queen Street.  It has a sweet little story of how it got its name and it even has its own ghost story, as many of the streets of Charleston do!  As photographers we love capturing weddings and engagement sessions and we feel extra blessed when we get to capture where it all started – the proposal!

On a busy New Year’s Eve, Trevor got down on one knee in the middle of a packed restaurant and asked the love of his life to marry him!  The proposal is such a precious and important moment, and we love that Haley was there to capture it!  The image of Trevor on one knee holding the ring in a restaurant full of patrons is just priceless!  After she accepted of course, Haley had some quality time with the newly engaged couple to capture some intimate portraits.  The lovebirds found some alone time on the porch, under the moonlight and string lights.  They toasted champagne and embraced while Haley quietly captured these moments.  What a perfect way to end 2016!  Also be sure to check out the stunning  yellow emerald cut engagement ring that we can’t stop swooning over!
