Lauren & Clay { Sanctuary Hotel Wedding }

Amanda headed south to Kiawah Island for a gorgeous Sanctuary Hotel wedding, and we’re elated to share her experiences with you.  Featuring the resort amenities that Kiawah is famous for, the Sanctuary provides beautiful spaces with scenic vistas for the perfect wedding day.  Lauren and Clay met at the gym (meet-cute anyone?) and their love blossomed, getting engaged the following year and now finally tying the knot!  They imagined a wedding day that celebrated them as a couple and a intimate ceremony with a lovely atmosphere fit their vision perfectly.  Lauren was an absolute dream in her gorgeous form-fitting dress with lace overlay and silver bangles.  Clay looked very handsome in his slate grey three-piece suit with light blue tie and pale yellow rose boutonniere.

Lauren and Clay were wed in the courtyard of the hotel beneath a beautiful arbor adorned with yellow roses.  We love that he lifted her for the kiss – enthusiastic displays of affection are always amazing!  Amanda stole them away afterwards because the beach beckoned.  As Kiawah’s beaches are private, the duo had the sands all to themselves, and we were treated to portraits framed by a beautiful rainbow.  The newlyweds shared a few romantic moments with the waves lapping at their feet before heading back to the hotel for a lively reception!

Inside the receiving hall, pops of yellow broke up the black and white pattern of chairs and linen tablecloths.  The pale yellow of the walls reflected the flickering candlelight and we love how the light danced off of the ornate cake stand.  Following the delicious meal, everyone took to the dance floor to get the party going and it lasted long into an evening filled with drinks and laughter.

Thank you both for including us in your beautiful wedding day and we wish you nothing but health and happiness as you begin this new chapter with one another!  Congratulations again!
