Laura & Allen { Downtown Charleston Wedding }

Jeanne headed Downtown for a gorgeous Downtown Charleston wedding, and we’re excited to share her experiences with you today!  Laura and Allen chose one of Charleston’s historic homes as the venue and backdrop for their wedding and we love the gorgeous architecture and southern charm the location added to the portraits.  The interior of the home was perfect for a few photos with a more chic feel with modern decor and sleek lines.  Outside, Charleston’s lovely atmosphere and abundant natural beauty took over and we love  surrounded by the sprawling oaks of Battery Park.  Laura looked gorgeous in a gown perfectly suited for the season and the surroundings.  Her handcrafted headpiece and vibrant bouquet were excellent compliments to her bridal look.  And lets not forget Allen, who was handsome in his sand-colored suit with soft pink tie.

Intimate weddings provide an opportunity to really focus on the couple and their closest loved ones.  The newlyweds just wanted to enjoy the day and each other, holding on tightly to one another during their portraits.  That kind of love is tangible and it was on full display underneath the branches.

Laura lost her grandmother shortly before the wedding day and honored her with a table at the reception.  Her grandmother’s lace was present in her beautiful headpiece and she wore her grandma’s diamond earrings.  It’s deeply emotional and amazing when couples honor their relatives during their special day and the steps taken to include her grandmother were so heartfelt.  It added that much more emotion to such a beautiful wedding.
