Variety is the spice of life they say. A recent Carolina Girl wedding perfectly exemplified that. The gorgeous ceremony took place at idyllic Magnolia Plantation but the lively reception happened aboard the Carolina Girl yacht. The different venues offered unique moments and two worlds in one breathtaking day, and Bridgit was there to capture all of the festivities! Jessica and Matthew envisioned a gorgeous Spring wedding amidst the live oaks of the Plantation and her bridal ensemble fit the southern atmosphere beautifully. An intricate lace gown with a plunging back was complimented by sparkly silver open-toed heels. Jessica was breathtaking!
Matthew was equally handsome in his blue three piece as he waited for Jessica in the plantation’s Conservatory. Sunlight filtered through the glass panes as the couple exchanged their vows and became newlyweds. Bridgit immediately led them to a stunning avenue of oaks for portraits and we adore how amazing these two look! They held each other and shared a small dance beneath the trees – a truly magical moment in their stunning day. Before departing the gardens, they headed over to the iconic red bridge over a large reflection pond. The low country atmosphere coupled with the late afternoon glow was the ideal end to a stunning ceremony.
Aboard the Carolina Girl, the couple and their guests had the time of their lives. The yacht’s one of Charleston’s most unique wedding and reception venues because the entire low country is a possibility. Sunset over an intracoastal waterway can be the perfect backdrop for portraits and we were blown away by how amazing the newlyweds looked with the glittering water behind them. As the vessel cruised around the area, everyone dined on some of Charleston’s best cuisine. As the sun drifted below the horizon, the party kicked into high gear and everyone cut loose long into the night. Dancing the evening away was the perfect end to this tale of two venues, and we are so happy to have been involved.
Thank you so much for bringing us along. We had such a wonderful getting to know you and your families. We wish you the best as you move forward together. Congratulations again!
