Elizabeth & Ryan { Cannon Green Wedding }

Shannon recently spent some time downtown for a gorgeous Cannon Green wedding and we’re happy to share some of our favorite moments with you today!  Cannon Green is a modern venue in the heart of Charleston’s peninsula, featuring bright spaces, clean architectural lines, and elongated windows making a perfect backdrop for any wedding.  Elizabeth and Ryan wanted a laid-back, fun wedding, and Cannon Green’s simple elegance was their clear choice.  On the day of the wedding, Shannon met up with the duo just in time for a lovely first look.  Elizabeth wowed in her satin dress with silver beading accents and matching heirloom hair pin.  Ryan was so handsome in his navy three piece with silver tie.  Baby blue socks and leather loafers rounded out his stylish look.  Shannon chose some colorful historic facades for the pre-ceremony portraits and the blues and reds gave each photo an extra pop of color.

Cannon Green’s courtyard is dotted with palm trees and is perfect for intimate ceremonies.  A classic white arbor with hanging vines was a beautiful focal point as the couple became newlyweds to the delight of their family and friends.  With the rings and vows exchanged, Shannon led them into Cannon Green for a few newlywed portraits.  The restaurant’s gorgeous flying staircase with wrought iron and polished steps complimented the duo’s classic look perfectly.  The hurricane lanterns were an added bonus and brought some additional southern charm to the photos.

The inviting atmosphere continued to the dining room where exposed brick and polished light wood floors complimented the beech wood tables.  Crystal and candles with pink roses dotted throughout the space created a clean, romantic ambiance for the elegant event Elizabeth had hoped for.  The restaurant provided delicious Mediterranean fare, and then the party went into full swing!  Those wanting a break from the action were treated to the courtyard lit by cafe lights, offering a soft glow in the fading springtime sun.  When it was time to call it a night, the newlyweds found themselves walking beneath a shower of petals to an awaiting antique getaway car, ready to whisk them away to their next adventure.
